The terms on which a college uses Tutorops. Written to be read, not to be skimmed past.
Effective: 31 August 2026 · Last updated: 31 August 2026
Tutorops provides software that helps colleges assess student skill evidence, calculate role-specific readiness, identify skill gaps, plan interventions and prepare recruiter shortlists.
Tutorops is a software platform. It does not provide recruitment or employment services, does not make hiring decisions, and is not a party to any arrangement between a college, a student and a recruiter.
Readiness scores are internal preparation indicators calculated from the information and assessment evidence provided to the platform. They are not guarantees or predictions of employment, placement, interview selection, recruiter interest or any hiring outcome.
The quality of any output depends on the quality of what is uploaded. A score built on inaccurate or incomplete student data will be inaccurate in the same way.
A college account is created by a member of the placement office and is intended for that college. You agree to give accurate registration details and to keep account credentials confidential. The college is responsible for activity carried out through its account.
Tutorops currently provides a single shared login per college; separate logins per staff member are on the roadmap. Until then, treat the account password as you would a shared administrative credential.
The college is responsible for:
A college may give students access to assessments through links generated in the platform. Students may use Tutorops only for the purposes the college authorises, and must not attempt to access another student's information, interfere with assessment results, or share or misuse assessment links.
Tutorops does not send student information to recruiters. Any shortlist is generated by the college and shared at the college's direction. A recruiter receiving candidate information is responsible for using it only for legitimate recruitment purposes and in line with applicable law and its arrangements with the college.
Some Tutorops features may use artificial intelligence to assist with tasks such as interpreting a recruiter's job description or organising unstructured information. AI-generated output may contain errors and is presented for a college user to review and confirm before it is relied upon.
Readiness scores, eligibility, skill levels, gap severity and the contents of an intervention plan are calculated deterministically and no language model takes part in them. Tutorops does not present AI-generated output as a guarantee of employability, placement or hiring. How AI is used, and what data it receives, is described in the privacy notice.
Tutorops offers a free plan subject to the student limit and feature set shown on the pricing page — currently up to 500 students. It is not a time-limited trial. We may change the limits or features of the free plan for future accounts, and will give reasonable notice of any change affecting an existing free account.
Paid plans are billed per college for the term shown at checkout, currently one academic year, through Razorpay. Prices shown may exclude applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. A plan is activated only after our server verifies the payment signature.
Plans do not renew automatically. When a term ends the account returns to the free plan and your data stays where it is — nothing is deleted and nothing is charged without a new payment. You can upgrade at any time, and the new limits apply immediately.
If something has gone wrong with a payment, write to legal@tutorops.com and we will look at it and resolve it with you directly.
Tutorops owns the platform, its software, design and branding. Your college keeps all rights in the data it uploads and the outputs generated from it. You grant us only the permissions needed to host that data and operate the service for you.
We do not use one college's student data to build products, models or benchmarks for anyone else.
Your use of Tutorops is also governed by our privacy notice, which sets out what we collect, why, who can access it and how long we keep it. The college remains responsible for having an appropriate basis and authorisation to provide student information to Tutorops.
Institutions that need a written data processing agreement can request one at privacy@tutorops.com.
You agree not to attempt unauthorised access to the platform or to another college's data; interfere with or manipulate readiness scores or assessment results; reverse engineer the service; upload malicious files; scrape or bulk-extract the service; use Tutorops for unlawful purposes; or interfere with its availability or security.
We aim to keep Tutorops available and reliable, but the service may be unavailable at times because of maintenance, upgrades, technical failure or circumstances outside our reasonable control. We do not currently offer a service level agreement; institutions that need one should raise it before purchase.
A college may stop using Tutorops at any time and ask us to delete its data. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, puts the platform or other colleges at risk, or is used unlawfully — and we will tell you why.
After termination we delete college data on request as described in the privacy notice, subject to anything we are required to retain.
Tutorops is provided as a decision-support tool. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for placement, hiring or employment outcomes, for decisions made using the platform's outputs, or for indirect or consequential losses including lost opportunity.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email to the account address, and the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. Continuing to use Tutorops after a change takes effect means the updated terms apply.
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any specific jurisdiction, venue or dispute-resolution process for a paid engagement will be set out in the written agreement for that engagement.
